Education

Joe graduated from Fort Hays State University with degrees in Agriculture Business and Agriculture with an emphasis in Agronomy. In May 2018 he graduated from Washburn University School of Law.

He grew up on a five-generation family farm south of Abilene, which led to his interest in agricultural and business law, estate planning, and real estate law.

During Law School, Joe was a summer associate at Ag & Business Legal Strategies in Iowa and a legal intern at the Kansas Department of Agriculture. He worked primarily with farmers on agriculture and business legal strategies, including succession planning and bankruptcy.

Community

Joe is involved in the Abilene Community, including being a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Sponsor and Volunteer of the Central Kansas Free Fair, Volunteer Firefighter with Saline County Rural Fire District No. 1, Member of the Kansas Meat Goat Association, and an Abilene FFA Alumni.

Joe will be a great asset to Cottonwood Law Group and our clients. We are excited to have him as a part of our team.

Joe is practicing in Abilene at our second location in the former Ad Astra Bank building at 418 NW 3rd St.
